Eurosandow is proud to collaborate with Polit, a French design furniture publisher, and one of its designers, Cyril de Moulins, the creator of the Sandowich furniture range. Eurosandow’s straps have also been featured on chairs used at the Cannes Film Festival.
Additionally, we are often approached by collectors for replacement cords for the Sandows Chair created in 1929 by René Herbst. The use of bungee cords allows for flexible, durable seating, while also adding a unique touch to the furniture.
Bungee cords made in Saint-Étienne
Our bungee cords are manufactured in our factory based in Saint-Étienne, a city known for design and innovation. Eurosandow contributes to this heritage through product innovation and creative applications of its materials. Our expertise allows us to create unique and designed pieces.
Braiding is the main technique use to produce our bungee cords. A core (made from natural latex, synthetic rubber, elastane, or graphite) is carefully wrapped in a textile cover through the precise rotation of spools of thread.
This meticulous process allows us to produce bungee cords in various sizes, colors, and patterns—whether striped, jacquard, round, with color markers, squares, continuous lines, or waves. The possibilities are endless to create unique, design-oriented pieces.
