Quality control
Our expertise allows us to design technical, high-performance products. At the design stage, we define the elongation and restoring force required for each specific application.
Depending on requirements, we adjust the elongation and force parameters to obtain the desired deformation. Our elastic cords are designed to absorb a given deformation and respond to a specific force and tension.
Through precise calculations and rigorous testing, we select the most appropriate materials and manufacturing processes, such as braiding and knitting.
Our elastic cords are designed and manufactured by our experienced teams in our factory in Saint-Étienne.
Our machinery includes around 150 braiding machines and 8 machines dedicated to cable knitting, guaranteeing fast, high-quality production.
Product quality is at the heart of everything we do. We carry out several quality tests based on customer needs and product applications.
These include fatigue and cyclic tests to analyse the product’s ability to maintain its technical characteristics and perform its intended function. For specific requests, we work with different laboratories to carry out the required tests.
Unless specified otherwise, our products should not be used beyond 75% of their elastic stretch. The use of our products should always follow common sense, avoiding unnecessary risks. Our products should no longer be used if signs of wear are visible.

Applications
Eurosandow supplies several types of elastic cords for a range of applications. They can be used alone or in combination with other products.
Automotive
Eurosandow stands out in the automotive industry as an innovative supplier of elastic cables. These cables are used, for example, to create back pockets on seats, an ingenious concept which was applied, for example, to the initial version of the Renault Captur.
Eurosandow also produces cables designed to hold touch-screen tablets in place on the rear shelves of vehicles.
Sports et leisure
Our elastic cords are widely used for leisure and entertainment activities (circuses, acrobats).
Eurosandow has developed an acrobatic cable specially for the 1992 Olympic Games. Its elongation characteristics make this cable a unique, trademarked model. This cable, with its very precise characteristics, was meticulously developed by acrobats on gantries.
Today, we continue to provide this cable for a variety of applications, including the prestigious Cirque du Soleil, carrying on the legacy of this innovation.
Industries
Our elastic cords are widely used by industry to meet different technical needs. We provide a range of specific materials adapted to each use and technical constraint, including Kevlar, Technora, fibreglass, recycled materials, aramid and copper.
Depending on your requirements, special treatments can be applied, such as flame-retardant webbing for flammable environments.
To meet the growing demand for eco-responsible textile solutions in industry, we have designed biodegradable cables. These cables, manufactured in our factories, are made up of a latex core and a corn yarn cover.
